At about 1:00 pm local time on the 19th, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake that shook central and western Mexico damaged more than 200 buildings, killed two people and injured 10 people.
Mexican authorities said on the 20th local time that “two people were killed and 10 more were injured in Manzanillo, Colima, close to the epicenter,” said Mexican authorities.
The casualties were caused by being crushed by a shopping center structure or by a gym roof collapsing, with the states of Michoacan and Colima particularly suffering.
