Köln 1. FC Köln celebrated a record win this season with a 7-1 win over Werder Bremen. However, the Bremen team ignited pyrotechnics several times. A safety notice in the stadium then caused laughter.
Seven goals against Werder Bremen and only one goal against. With this furious opening win in the second half of the Bundesliga season, the team from 1. FC Köln let it rip on Saturday evening. While the fans of the Cologne club cheered more exuberantly goal after goal, the Werder supporters who had traveled with them lost all interest in the game. They ignited pyrotechnics several times. Shortly after the start of the game, the forbidden fireworks flared up in the away block of the RheinEnergieStadion. The supporters of the Weser were warned by an announcement to refrain from lighting the fire.
But with the intermediate score of 6:1 for Cologne, forbidden pyrotechnics flared up again in the second half. A spokesman gave a safety alert that caused laughter. “Dear Bremen fans, please refrain from lighting fireworks. Now it’s no use.” The casual saying went viral on Instagram, among other things, and was tagged by several thousand users.
