10 Terrifying Balloons Spotted At The 2022 New York Thanksgiving Parade

A tradition among our southern neighbors since the 1920s, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade took place in New York on Thursday morning, featuring gigantic balloons in the colors of popular culture.

Speaking of tradition, we have a new one at Weighs on start: share with our readers the most terrifying balloons of this great parade. You’ll definitely recognize popular characters from geek franchises, from downright nightmarish angles. Looks like the photographers don’t know where to stand to take good pictures, so we end up with lots of balloons that look like they’re invading New York.

As it’s supposed to be a peaceful and festive event, we’d like to send our heartfelt wishes to Barney’s balloon, which was brutally torn apart by the wind during the 1997 parade.
