A 101-year-old woman who was infected with the coronavirus has recovered and is discharged from the IJsselland Hospital in Capelle aan den IJssel on Tuesday. “She is a brave lady,” a lung specialist in the hospital describes.
A week and a half ago, the woman was admitted to the hospital after she became short of breath. A test found that she was infected with the coronavirus.
Her youngest daughter says that the woman is an “independent lady who knows what she wants. She has experienced a lot in her life and has always worked hard. Of course she is also stubborn at times”. The woman can now relax further in a nursing home.
The nurses and pulmonologists say they are happy with the news. Pulmonologist Sunil Ramlal states that it is wonderful to “see how she adheres to the precepts. She clears her elbow neatly and I had to keep her distance from her. Let’s all stick to these precepts, that’s so crucial” .
