A 14-year-old boy died instantly. The scooter he was traveling on was run over by a Volkswagen driven by a 38-year-old man.
There is a number that remains constant throughout the year: that of road victims. Yet another tragedy in the province of Rome. In Velletri – reports I read – a 14-year-old boy, Davide Cugini died in a car accident that took place in the night between 25 and 26 June in via Colle Caldara a Velletri. The Carabinieri of the local company immediately intervened on the spot. The scooter on which the boy was traveling collided violently against a Volkswagen Golf, driving a 38-year-old man.
Due to the very serious injuries reported in the impact – which occurred for reasons still under investigation – for the 14 year old there was nothing to do: Davide is died instantly. While the 38-year-old driving the car – explains the National newspaper – was taken to the hospital for medication. The man, from what emerged, would have resulted negative to the investigations on alcohol and drug use. The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Velletri intervened on the site and seized both vehicles, while the body of davide Cugini was brought at the Tor Vergata hospital. The date of the funeral is not yet known.
Another very young man died a few days ago, in Crema, in Lombardy. He was called Matteo Dossena and he was only 18 years old. The boy, riding his motorcycle, was run over by a car that was running one U-turn. Also for Matteo, as for Davide, any resuscitation attempt by the rescuers was unfortunately useless. Although his condition initially did not seem so bad, the young man died a few hours after arriving at the hospital.
