A 14-year-old girl has been taken to court in Mexico accused of being responsible for the death of a classmate. After the hearing, 30 days of further investigation were granted, as reported by the Mexican newspaper “El Universal” on Saturday evening (local time).
According to the prosecutor of the state of Mexico, an arrest warrant had been issued and the youth arrested in Teotihuacán. Both girls attended a secondary school in the central highland town.
The investigation had shown that the victim had been approached by a classmate. Days after the argument, the victim fainted. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the aggression to which she was exposed led to a craniocerebral trauma, as a result of which she died.
