A total of 15 students of SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar, Bali confirmed positive Covid-19. The school then discontinued face-to-face learning.
The head of the Bali Province Youth and Sports Education Office, I Ketut Ngurah Boy Jayawibawa, confirmed that there were dozens of students who were positive for Covid-19.
“Yes, there are 15 (students) who are positive for Covid-19,” Boy said when confirmed, Wednesday (26/1).
“We have laid off other students. However, the pattern of learning is online and we want to avoid it from spreading again,” he added.
The first time it was discovered, he said, began when there were six class X students who were confirmed positive for Covid-19. Then, during testing and tracing, nine students in class XII were found to be exposed to Covid-19.
“Against this school, there was indeed one student who was initially suspected to have been exposed to it. Then, testing and tracing were carried out on his friends who had interacted,” he said.
“Starting today, the implementation is online so that education services don’t happen just because someone is exposed, all of them don’t get (education) services,” he explained.
The question of considering the presence of positive students whether PTM in Bali will be reviewed again. His party said that for this purpose, he looked at the situation going forward because not all schools in Bali were exposed to Covid-19.
“We are looking at the development situation because this data is dynamic in nature. If it is already very symptomatic, why not, it must be transferred to online again, but we don’t know in the future,” he said.
