2M / Special Throne Day: A look back at the American recognition of the Moroccan character of the Sahara

From this Monday evening and until the celebration of the Feast of the Throne marking the 22nd anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI, 2M invites you to come back to the themes that marked 2021 and the previous year. For this first issue, return to this recognition on December 10, 2020 by the United States of America, through a presidential decree, of the Moroccan character of the Sahara and the sovereignty of the Kingdom over all of its southern provinces. A decision which destroys the separatist thesis in this artificial conflict.

As a reminder, the text of the Proclamation was distributed to the 193 Member States of the United Nations, as an official document of the Security Council.

To support this historic decision, a large American delegation, led by the Assistant Secretary of State in charge of Middle East and North Africa, David Schenker, visited the premises of the future consulate on January 10.
