Overall, the Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 18,333 lives in Austria since it broke out. The AGES dashboard already showed 19,863 deaths in connection with the pandemic on Friday, a difference of exactly 1,550 to the figures from the ministries. It is therefore still unclear exactly how many people have died in Austria since the beginning of the pandemic. About a month ago, the Ministry of Health reported thousands of Covid deaths. You haven’t quite gotten your way through the federal state figures yet. Carinthia, Salzburg, Styria and Vienna reported deaths in April, while the other federal states are still missing the ministry data.

There were 649 Covid patients in the hospital on Friday, 14 fewer than on Thursday. 55 of them were in intensive care units. That number dropped by three since yesterday and dropped by ten patients in a week.
