Honor has unveiled a new midrange phone to its name Honor X6. It is designed for the segment below 1500 lei and comes with a large battery and 50 megapixel camera, plus a screen with a rather modest resolution, that’s right.
Its design combines the old and the new: the new comes from the iPhone-style camera and flat edges, and the old is that teardrop screen bang. At least it’s very narrow… Honor X6 measures 163.66 x 75.13 x 8.68 mm and weighs 194 grams. We have a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen on board, with a modest resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It only has a refresh rate of 60 Hz, so it’s not for gamers. The processor is a MediaTek Helio G25, and on board we also have 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage.
The handset is running Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 as a custom interface. The selfie camera is 5 megapixels, and at the back there is a 50 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel Macro camera and a 2 megapixel Bokeh camera. The X6 is limited to Full HD video capture, it does not support 4K recording. The 5000 mAh battery charges at 10W, and for connectivity we find Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, the USB-C port and the 3.5 mm audio jack. For security we get the side fingerprint reader and facial unlocking.
The Honor X6 will arrive in blue, silver and black and will cost from $130 upwards. The body is made of plastic.
