A Bulgarian striker became a champion in Russia

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Mitkov became the champion of the FNL – the second level of Russian football.

A round before the end of the championship, his Rubin (Kazan) secured the gold medals after a 3:0 victory over Dynamo (Makhachkala), so the “red and green” returned to the Russian Premier League as champions. Mitkov entered the game in the middle of the second half.

The Bulgarian arrived in Rubin in February this year on loan from Lokomotiv (Sofia) and took part in 10 matches for the team from Kazan.
