A Giulia GT with the V6 from the Quadrifoglio

PAST AND PRESENT – The Emilia GT Fast (in this page the first drawings) is the new restomod presented by Emilia Auto, a German company specializing in classic and sports cars. The project is ambitious as the “donor base” is one of the most iconic models of the Biscione, namely theAlfa Romeo Giulia GT from 1963. Faced with a classic aesthetic, the Emilia GT Veloce, whose project is the work of the engineering company Vela Performance, known for having created the recent RUF CTR, will employ modern technologies and will be equipped with the powerful 2.9 V6 biturbo from 510 CV Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, with a torque of 600 Nm transmitted to the rear wheels via the 8-speed ZF precautionary.

MORE MUSCLES – The bodywork of the Emilia GT Fast it is based on the design of the original one, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (under Bertone at the time) but, where necessary, changes were made to widen the bodywork and make room for the V6. A dose of modernity is ensured by optical groups, which are now led. There are also carbon components made to optimize aerodynamics.

IMPORTANT CHANGES – To withstand the remarkable power of the 510 HP delivered by the engine, the original chassis of theAlfa Romeo Giulia GT has undergone major structural changes. The dynamic qualities are entrusted to independent double wishbone suspension, coilover shock absorbers, multi-link rear axle, electronically controlled limited slip differential and adaptive power steering. Do not miss the high performance braking system made by Brembo. The generously sized tires are mounted on 19-inch wheels. ABS and traction control are standard.

MODERN COMFORT – The interior of the Emilia GT Fast follow the style of the original model. The difference is in the details: greater comfort is ensured, among other things, by a modern automatic climate control, multimedia system and electric drives for windows and mirrors. Recaro seats guarantee the right seating comfort and good lateral support. The rear seats are completely missing, omitted to allow even tall people to find a comfortable driving position. However, the buyer can customize the interior by choosing from different materials and colors.

A DONOR IS NEEDED – 22 copies of the Emilia GT Fast at a unit price of 400,000 euros (in Germany). According to the manufacturer, the first deliveries will take place by the end of 2022. All examples are based on an original Alfa Romeo Giulia GT, whose bodywork is restored, adapted and subsequently associated with the new underbody and with modern components.
