Center tracks NASA For studies of near Earth objects a large asteroid will approach Earth tonight.
The Daily Star reported that the asteroid has a diameter of the space rock between 26 and 59 meters, larger than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The asteroid is expected to fly above Earth at 17.42 km per second, according to NASA estimates, at around 10.57 pm on Monday, April 20 at a speed of approximately 40,000 miles per hour.
The body is likely to intersect the orbit of our planet at a normal pathway of 0.02076 Astronomical units of Earth.
The asteroid, named GA3 2020, was first discovered on April 15 and has been classified as the Apollo asteroid – the one that intersects the Earth’s path.
