The Serpis Urban Art Project Gandia premieres new mural on Avinguda de Les Esclaves. On this occasion, the work is dedicated to the masterr, and its author is the Catalan artist Alba Fabre Sacristán, who has been inspired by Joaquín Sorolla’s ‘La Siesta’ to draw a couple resting on the grass.

The work, of great dimensions, that occupies a space of 22 by 18 meters, is the latest graphic expression of this project promoted by the mayor of Culture, Nahuel González, who was visiting the mural with the artist and art teacher, and together with the head of the Serpis Urban Art Project, Eloi Ángel.

The concilor I thanked the neighbors for continuing to give up walls so that citizens can enjoy art and street culture as one more part of their cultural life. The artist Alba Fabre, who has taken 10 days to complete the mural, pointed out that she has been inspired by a work by Sorolla because it is the one that the author would like to see on the street.
