The man was transported to the Nice University Hospital in serious condition.
Serious accident this Thursday in Draguignan (Var). A 51-year-old man who was about to take off in a paraglider had a heavy fall, learned BFM Nice Côte d’Azur, confirming information from Be Matin. It was a doctor present on the spot who alerted the emergency services and took care of him initially.
On the spot, several vehicles were dispatched to rescue the victim: a road ambulance, an all-terrain ambulance, a nursing vehicle, another rescue vehicle in perilous and mountainous environments and a command vehicle.
According to the SDIS 83, the man was taken care of by the emergency services in serious condition. He was transported using a Dragon 06 (civil security helicopter from the Alpes-Maritimes) to the CHU Pasteur II in Nice.
