A minor fled when she was released from the hospital

A 14-year-old girl, residing in a shelter in Beau-Bassin, fled to an unknown destination when she left the Dr AGJeetoo hospital, in Port-Louis at the end of the afternoon of Saturday, June 26. She was being driven to a vehicle from the Child Development Unit (CDU) when she took her legs around her neck.

It was around 11 a.m. on Saturday June 26 that this incident took place. Immediately afterwards, an employee of the Family Welfare Protection Unit who was in his company went to the hospital police station to report the case. In her testimony, she explained that she was accompanying the minor when she left the hospital to go to the CDU vehicle when the young girl left her company to take the direction of the Central Barracks.

A patrol was organized to find the fugitive. The last time she was seen on surveillance camera footage from Safe City, she was walking along Rue Royale in Port Louis. The minor, who is sane, was wearing a black sports tracksuit on the day of her flight.
