A mushroom picker is missing in Cantal

An 85-year-old man, who has been picking mushrooms in the Saint-Santin-Cantalès sector (Cantal), has not given any news since Wednesday noon. His vehicle was found by the gendarmerie on Thursday, November 7th.

An octogenarian is missing since Wednesday, November 6 at midday when he was gone to pick mushrooms, reports France Bleu Pays d'Auvergne.

The car of the 85 year old man was found this Thursday morning by the gendarmes in the town of Saint-Santin-Cantalès, Cantal. Research began on Wednesday evening in this sector. The perimeter has been expanded this Thursday morning.

The man moves with a cane, he is dressed in a green knit, blue jeans and a blue jacket. Anyone who has seen the octogenarian is invited to dial 17.

On October 31, two people – an 82-year-old man and his 32-year-old grandson – lost their way in the forest, near Iffendic (Brittany), during a mushroom picking. Without a cell phone, they had spent Halloween night in the woods, waiting for the sunrise to find their way back.
