His fifth opus, entitled Babelsberg , is announced for June 8 at Rough Trade and produced by Ali Chant, already of the adventure on the previous album, the conceptual American Interior (2014). About the origin of the title strange of the album, its author explains: “I was looking for a name that evoked the Tower of Babel – people building towers in order to access a certain idea of paradise (but perhaps leading to a sort of hell – I am an atheist by the way!). In any case, I wrote the word Babelsberg on a note and when I listened to the songs together, it finally made sense of everything I had done. ” The first excerpt Frontier Man opens the ball in the style of a classy folk sixties ballad, set with majestic strings performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
