French President Emmanuel Macron met Pope Francis in the Vatican on Monday. He gave him a gift – the first edition of Immanuel Kant’s philosophical treatise “Eternal Peace Project”. The stamp on the old print shows that the book was once in Polish collections. Information about this caused a storm on the network. – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is investigating the case – said spokesman for the Ministry, Łukasz Jasina. “The knowledge we currently have does not allow us to confirm the fact that this book was lost as a result of World War II,” we read in the official communiqué of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
