a new delay for PlayStation, Xbox and PC

If at this point in the year a game scheduled for 2022 does not have a date on the calendar, you can already get used to the idea that its launch will be postponed to next year. This has been the case for a long list of titles now joined by Hogwarts Legacy, which has been pushed back to February 10, 2023. This is the fifth game after Nightingale, Metal Slug Tactics, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and ARC Raiders. which has announced a date change this week.

The statement distributed via Twitter with which Warner Bros. Games and the developer Avalanche Software have communicated the new release date of Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), is very concise and resorts to a most classic explanation. In addition, it includes additional bad news for Nintendo Switch players, who are left without a date and for now they must be content with the fact that “very soon” they will be able to mark a day on the calendar.

“Hogwarts Legacy is coming February 10, 2023 to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC,” reads the message from Warner Bros. Games and developer Avalanche Software. “The release date for Nintendo Switch will be announced very soon. The team can’t wait for you to try the game, but it needs a little more time to give you the best experience possible.”

This isn’t the first time Warner Bros. Games has announced a delay for Hogwarts Legacy. When the game was first shown in 2020, the publisher assured that it would be available in 2021, but as soon as the year began, it announced that the launch was postponed to 2022. The truth is that Warner Bros. Games is not very good at putting release date. Gotham Knights had to arrive in 2021 and in the end it will debut on February 25, 2022, while Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League changed 2022 to 2023.
