Al-Marsad Newspaper – Agencies: Oil prices rose during Monday’s trading, supported by the weakness of the dollar and the scarcity of supplies in global markets; This offset concerns about a recession and the possibility of a new shutdown in China linked to the “Covid-19” virus.

Brent crude futures for September delivery rose 1.34%, or about $1.36, to $102.59 a barrel, at 09:16 am Mecca time, after recording its largest weekly decline in nearly a month last week.

US crude futures for August delivery also increased by 1.08%, or $1.06, to $98.65 a barrel, and approached earlier in the session, from $99, after declining about 7% during the past week.
