A shadow legend leaves Real Madrid

Nacho is likely to leave Real Madrid as a free agent at the end of the season. He has been in the first team since September 2012 and previously played for the youth, third and second teams.

Spanish media reports that the 33-year-old defender has received an offer from Real to extend his contract, but has not responded to it. The ranks of the “royal” team were convinced that Nacho would agree to the offer, but it seems that he is disappointed and could go to a club where he will have a bigger role.

He is one of the most decorated players in the history of Real Madrid. With the Madrid club, he won 23 trophies, two less than the record holders Karim Benzema and Marcelo, “Trud” writes.

That season, he accumulated almost 2,500 minutes and covered all defensive positions, but in the key games of the season in the Champions League against Chelsea and Manchester City, he played just 11 minutes.
