The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched a smart “robot” that distributes bottles of Zamzam water to the pilgrims of the Grand Mosque without contact.
The General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, said that modern technology is being harnessed to serve society, especially in light of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, and technology will contribute to preserving the safety of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
Al-Sudais praised what modern science and digital development have achieved in the service of all humanity, as the robot works to distribute the packages without contact, and without hindering the movement of those pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques.
The Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, represented by the Zamzam Water Quality Test Laboratory, analyzes more than 50 samples daily from all Zamzam water sources in the Grand Mosque, to ensure the integrity of the Zamzam water network and that it is free of any bacteria, contaminants and microbes.
A specialized technical staff takes random samples of Zamzam water on a daily basis, and analyzes them microbiologically and chemically, in order to ensure its quality and safety in a special laboratory located on the roof of the Grand Mosque and equipped with the highest international standards used in the analysis of drinking water, conducting the necessary tests and raising the results for the Zamzam watering department.
