Abinader appoints Efraín Toribio Mones president of the FEDA

Santo Domingo, RD.

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, appointed Efraín Bernardo Toribio Mones, as president of the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA), institution in which he worked as executive director.

Similarly, through decree no. 677-21, the president appointed Hecmilio Arístides Galván Cruz as director of the institution, replacing Toribio Mones.

Their profiles

Toribio Mones is an agronomist and is part of the Agricultural Front of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), where he serves as general secretary.

During the government of Salvador Jorge Blanco, he served as deputy director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD) and Regional Manager of San Cristóbal in the institution.

During the mandate of former President Hipólito Mejía he was director of FEDA.

He also held the position of executive director of the Foundation for the Development of Rural Youth (Fundejur).

On the other hand, Galván had been appointed by Abinader to lead Project Evaluation and Monitoring Unit (UESP) on November 23, 2020.
