Of that number, 51,434 of them are active cases or people who are still undergoing treatment/isolation. The number of active cases has increased compared to yesterday which only amounted to 44,931.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Widyastuti, admitted that the increase in active cases also affected the bed occupancy at hospitals (RS) for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
However, he said, there are priority criteria for patients who need to be treated at the hospital. “The public needs to know that not all Covid-19 sufferers must be treated in hospitals. The Ministry of Health has also issued priority criteria for patients who can be treated in hospitals, namely those with moderate, severe and critical symptoms,” said Widyastuti in a written statement, Saturday (26/6/2021).
“Those with mild symptoms, such as cough, runny nose, headache, sore throat, no shortness of breath, or those without symptoms, can only self-isolate at home or in controlled isolation facilities,” he said.
There are a number of priority criteria for patients who need to be hospitalized, including if the oxygen saturation is below 95 percent, experiencing shortness of breath, difficulty/unable to speak, decreased consciousness, comorbidities, and moderate symptoms with pneumonia.
“For this reason, people should not panic when they are tested positive for Covid-19. If confirmed positive, immediately report to the Covid-19 Task Force at the RT level and the nearest puskesmas so that an initial examination can be carried out and given an introduction if controlled isolation is needed,” he said.
Regarding hospitals that treat Covid-19 patients, Widyastuti stated, currently 140 hospitals in the DKI Jakarta area have treated Covid-19 patients.
Of the 140 hospitals, there are RSUD/RSKD under the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which all have treated Covid-19.
The hospitals include Tanah Abang Hospital, Cempaka Putih Hospital, Sawah Besar Hospital, Tugu Koja Hospital, Pademangan Hospital, Cengkareng Hospital, Kalideres Hospital, Pasar Minggu Hospital, Kebayoran Lama Hospital, Kebayoran Baru Hospital, Jatipadang Hospital, Kramatjati Hospital, Ciracas Hospital , Duren Sawit Hospital, Tarakan Hospital, Koja Hospital, Pasar Rebo Hospital, Budhi Asih Hospital, and Adhyaksa Hospital.

“Nevertheless, we will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Health and health facilities to increase the number of Covid-19 treatment beds in Jakarta,” he said.
Widyastuti also ensures that the availability of oxygen is still safe in DKI Jakarta. Likewise, the readiness of medicines is ensured to be safe and under control.
“Drugs are distributed through the Health Sub-Department in the City and District areas. We make sure everything is safe and under control. People’s safety is paramount,” he said. (Ihsanuddin)
