Administrative court: Solo self-employed do not have to repay Corona emergency aid – Rhineland – news

The reason given by the court was the ambiguous approval notices from spring 2020. The judges emphasized that the wording had to be clear and understandable for ordinary people. But they were not in the approval notices.

Misleading approval notices

According to the court, applicants could also assume that they would not have to repay the complete emergency aid of 9,000 euros if their loss of sales was higher than the sum.

The country saw things differently and referred to its own website and to the fact that more than 400,000 self-employed people and micro-entrepreneurs had repaid the excess money received without complaint.

However, the court emphasized that only those who have lodged an objection to the final decision do not have to repay the aid.
