Since this Monday, January 10, 2022 takes place the launch of the public consultation on the
Local household and similar waste prevention program in the urban area of ​​Chartres (Eure-et-Loir).

In order to develop the new waste prevention program, Chartres metropolis launches this consultation which will be open until February 20. What is it about ?

Objective: a 7% reduction in waste

The public is invited to share their opinions and remarks to enrich the reflection of Chartres Métropole on the actions to be implemented for a reduction of waste in the years to come.

The objective of the Chartres Métropole waste prevention program is to reduce household and similar waste by 7% between 2019 and 2026.

This effort would represent, for these ten years, a reduction of 40 kg of waste per inhabitant, i.e. more than 24,000 t.

How to participate in this public consultation?

People wishing to participate in this public consultation can share their comments and opinions either:

Via the online form available on the Chartres Métropole website in the
responsible/waste/waste reduction section.

– Go a mail in paper format, which must be returned by post:

  • At the following address: Chartres Métropole, Hotel d’Agglomeration, Place des Halles,
    Waste Department – ​​PLPDMA, 28019 Chartres
  • No later than February 20, 2022
  • By indicating his surname and first name and address

At the end of the public consultation, a summary of the opinions received will be produced and presented to Annick Lhermitte, Vice-President of Chartres Métropole in charge of Waste Collection, Treatment and Recovery, and to the members of the Consultative Commission development and monitoring of the PLPDMA.

Reviews will be anonymized before being presented.
