Upon arrival on African soil, in Addis Ababa, Algiers or Accra, pallets of masks, protective suits, respirators or screening kits are often received by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic in person. Beijing intends to prove that in times of global crisis, it is a powerful, united and responsible actor on which Africa can count.
