Al-Zubaidi to Asharq Al-Awsat: The Presidential Leadership Council works on the heart of one man

Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Vice Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, emphasized the unity of the Presidential Leadership Council and the harmony of work among its members, stressing that the Council works in a team spirit to achieve all the goals of the Yemeni people.

Al-Zubaidi said in exclusive statements to Asharq Al-Awsat, on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the founding of the council, that the president and members of the Presidential Leadership Council are working with the heart of one man, and are continuing to achieve the goals and aspirations of the Yemeni people.

Major General Aidaroos stressed that the leadership council, which constitutes the most important active forces in the Yemeni land, works with the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and agrees with them on the next road map for the comprehensive political process in Yemen.

The deputy head of the Leadership Council also made it clear that the peace map and negotiations that will take place in the coming days will bear all the concerns and problems of the country, foremost of which is the issue of the people of the south.

He added: «On the occasion of the one year anniversary of the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, which brings together all the field forces that represent legitimacy before the international and regional communities, we affirm that the Council has taken steps during this year, including positive ones, and accompanied us with some negatives, especially in the economic and humanitarian aspects, but we assure everyone. We are proceeding to achieve our goals on which the Council was founded as a leadership council unit, and we work in a team spirit to achieve all the goals and aspirations of our people, and the Leadership Council will perform the aspired role for which it was established.

Major General Al-Zubaidi pointed out that “the forces that were established in the Presidential Leadership Council are active forces on the ground, and they are allies with the Arab coalition that leads the military, humanitarian and political operations in Yemen.”

And he continued, “We agree with them (the coalition) on all programs and the upcoming road map for the comprehensive political process in Yemen, and we are at the heart of one man, and we will proceed on a safe path of peace until peace is achieved in all parts of the country.”

And he went on to say: “We reassure our Yemeni people in general, and the southern people in particular, that we are moving forward, and that the comprehensive political process will proceed, and the road map led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will bear all the concerns and problems of the homeland, foremost among which is the issue of the people of the south, who A negotiating framework will be established for him within the framework of the comprehensive negotiations that will take place in the coming days, and our right will be negotiated within the framework of the Presidential Leadership Council and its negotiating team as a framework that carries the issue of the south and has priority.
