In order to support Roberto Chalewho is going through a delicate moment of health, Lima Alliance participated in the Hinchas de Sangre blood donation campaign, organized by Essalud to encourage an act of solidarity among the population that saves lives.
As has been the case periodically thanks to a strategic alliance between the club and Essalud, the blue and white family stood up and showed their high spirit of solidarity in favor of those who need it most. The units of blood obtained will go to the blood banks of the Almenara and Rebagliati Hospitals, the latter where the former Universitario soccer player and the Peruvian national team is hospitalized.
The donation day was held in the Press Room of the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium, where members of the women’s soccer team like Miryam Tristán, former player Leao Butrón, the blue and white idol José Velásquez and a good number of Victorian workers arrived.
“For Alianza it is very important to contribute to the health of the people who need it most. Through this blood donation campaign, we are helping many people and also Roberto Chale, to whom we send all our strength and love so that he can recover soon”said José Velásquez, Ambassador Legend of Alianza Lima.
Leao Butrón, three times national champion with Alianza Lima and current Manager of Academies and Franchises of the club, was one of those who gave his share of blood for the cause of solidarity. “All the alliance members feel that we have a responsibility to get involved with initiatives that seek the common good, even more so if we can thus contribute to the health of our compatriots. Today we have also come to donate with Roberto Chale in mind. With all our hearts, we pray for his recovery ”.

In her turn, Miryam Tristán maintained that “It is not the first time that Alianza Lima has joined these campaigns. This is part of the blue and white DNA, to help, to show solidarity and generate positive messages in society”.
Pool Ambrocio and Thalía Mallqui, international medalists for Peru in the wrestling discipline, also participated in the event in their capacity as Alianza Lima Sports Ambassadors. “Always committed to Alianza’s social initiatives,” both athletes highlighted.
Since the pandemic began, in 2020, Alianza Lima has intensified its support for solidarity initiatives that have to do with the care, prevention, and protection of the health of our compatriots. Thus, several blood donation days have been held in Matute with the participation of athletes, authorities, workers and fans, as well as vaccination campaigns against COVID-19 and disease screening, among other activities.
