Also that: Farke tested positive for Corona

Definitely not a good weekend for Borussia Mönchengladbach: One day after the bitter 5-1 defeat at Werder Bremen, the foals reported a positive corona test from coach Daniel Farke.

The VfL coach went into domestic isolation one day after the 5-1 defeat by Bremen after a quick corona test was positive. Now those involved in Borussia Park are still waiting for the result of the PCR test, which is still pending. Farke’s deputy has taken over assistant coach Edmund Riemer for the time being.

Riemer was already in charge of the player training on Sunday and would – if the findings are confirmed – “in close consultation with Farke, continue to lead the units in the coming week until Borussia’s head coach is negative again,” said the club.

Borussia will have to do without their head coach at least for the next few days. On Sunday, the derby against 1. FC Köln (kick-off 3.30 p.m., LIVE! on kicker) is on the agenda.
