Al-Marsad newspaper: The Egyptian woman, Mervat Mustafa Al-Hefnawi, whose hand and the hand of her son were amputated by the butcher of Damietta in Egypt, broke her silence to reveal the details of the heinous crime.
Al-Hefnawi said that she bought a plot of land adjacent to her house with an area of 18 meters, and it is considered one of the extensions of the house, and when she started building it, she was harassed by the butcher and his family because they wanted to get this piece of land despite their lack of entitlement to it, according to “Al Arabiya Net”.
She pointed out that the family of the killer pursued her legally and judicially, but she was able to resolve all these disputes in her favour, which resulted in exacerbating problems and subjecting her to all kinds of harassment to prevent her from building her land.
And she added that on the day of the incident, after her son returned from work, she was surprised by the butcher blocking his way and assaulting him with a knife.
She concluded that the thug continued to stab her in the chest and amputate parts of her body, pointing out that she fell to the ground from many stabs so that the thug took advantage of the opportunity to be alone with her son again and continued to stab him and amputate his hand as well.
She completed that she asked the neighbors and passers-by to rescue her and her son, and asked to collect the remains of her hand and the hand of her son, which were scattered on the ground and actually buried them in her father’s grave, explaining that the knife used by the thug in committing his crime was equipped in a way that cuts iron and not a human body.
