A sixth grade boy from Fogar de Carballo school died this Tuesday during an excursion in Mazaricos (A Coruña), in which fell into the water from a canoe, sources of the investigation have informed Efe.
The body was recovered from the water in the Fervenza reservoir area, where, according to the 112 Galicia, the toilets tried to revive him without success.
The events occurred after 12:30 pm on Tuesday, at which time 112 received the notice and mobilized a rescue operation. The paramedics traveled to the scene aboard the helicopter based in Santiago.
The notice was also passed to Maritime Rescue, Galician Coast Guard, the Santa Comba Firefighters, the Muros GES, the Civil Guard and Civil Protection of Mazaricos. Around forty children from the center attended this excursion.
