On July 7 and 8, the ADD + ART 2021 international online congress takes place, which will discuss the effects of the pandemic and post-pandemic context on artistic productions. Organized by the research project IN> TRA2, of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UB, together with IDENSITAT and the support of the Ministry of Universities and various entities, this proposal arises in the global context of control-uncontrol and isolation in which we are immersed in the wake of the pandemic. The deadline to register is July 2, using this form.
The objective of the ADD + ART 2021 congress is to debate and share projects and research on the mechanisms of production and configuration of new spaces to materialize artistic practices and their interaction with the social space. It is aimed at national and international artists who explore the visual arts through research, as well as the scientific-academic community and creators specialized in the thematic lines in which the congress is articulated: the link between art and territory, space , the devices, the decoding and the activation of new strategies.
The IN> TRA2 project highly values the response to the call to participate. A hundred applications have been received from different countries, such as Argentina, Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Italy, Malta, Norway and Poland. Of the total number of proposals, the scientific committee, made up of academic specialists of recognized national and international prestige, has selected sixty. The online format of the congress favors that the presentations move away from the traditional presentations, with a clear commitment to the graphic proposal, the photo essay or the video creation. Likewise, the congress website functions as a viewing and archiving platform for the proposals that will be presented on July 7 and 8. “It is the first experience of these characteristics launched in the Faculty of Fine Arts”, they stand out from the organization.
Specialists in the fields of curatorship, artistic production and cultural management, such as Bassam El Baroni, Anna Dot and Ane Rodríguez, will introduce the different thematic lines of the congress.
