Analog GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is seen as
 crypto currency accelerator

Despite the voiced before the desire of NVIDIA to sell as many graphic accelerators as possible to game lovers, and not crypto currency holders, the company allows the production of new cards for mining by its AIB partners. This time, for the benefit of the miners Ethereum, Zcash and Monero “under the knife” were launched adapters that did not pass the test for compliance with the specification GeForce GTX 1080 Ti .
Instead of releasing the conventional “GeForce GTX 1080+” with a limited number of stream processors and / or 32-bit memory controllers with respect to the GTX 1080 Ti, NVIDIA allowed to launch the P102-100 crypto currency accelerator. So, recently it became known that the corresponding model is prepared by one of the exclusive partners of the “green” – the company InnoVISION Multimedia (brand Inno3D). The latter demonstrates serious activity on the market of equipment for production of crypto currency, but before it was limited only to adapters on GP106 (GeForce GTX 1060) and GP104 (GeForce GTX 1070/1070 Ti / 1080).

So, what is the new Inno3D P102-100? On the lack of video outputs (and also the mounting plate), a 215 mm PCB is soldered to the NVIDIA GP102-100 graphics processor and 5 GB of GDDR5X buffer memory. As part of the GPU, operating at a frequency of not less than 1582 MHz, there are 3200 stream processors Pascal (for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti – 3584 SP) and 320-bit memory bus, and also, probably 200 texture units and 80 rendering blocks. GDDR5X chips operate at an effective frequency of 10 GHz, the total bandwidth of the memory subsystem is 400 GB / s. The interface of connecting the crypto currency accelerator Inno3D P102-100 is a modest PCI Express 1.0 x4 (10 Gt / s).

To cool the novelty, a dual-slot cooler Twin X2 is used. It includes five copper heat pipes, a dense array of aluminum plates, two ~ 92-mm fans and a small casing. Certainly not without the radiator VRM. The Inno3D P102-100 requires two 8-pin PCI-E Power cables, the maximum power consumption of the accelerator is estimated at 250 watts.
Data on the cost of the product has not been received yet, but it can be assumed that it will cost less than the “budget” models of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. According to the manufacturer, the efficiency of P102-100 in the production of Ethereum is 47 MH / s, Zcash – 600 Sol / s, Monero – 879 H / s.
