Andros trophy: five numbers to know before the step of Isola 2000



Isola 2000 welcomes the 4th round of the Andros Trophy 2018. A curve that lies exactly at the halfway point, after Val Thorens, Alpe d’huez and Andorra, before Serre Chevalier, Lans-en-Vercors and Super-Besse.

The program of each step contains four categories: Trophies Andros Elite Pro and Elite (thermal cars), Enedis Trophy Electrique (electric car) and the AMV Cup (motorcycles).

Finally, this weekend, the public massed around the long circuit of 800m will be able to see four guests rub shoulders with specialists: the cyclist Warren Barguil, best climber of the Tour de France 2017 (2 stage victories) and pilot Timo Sheider (double champion DTM) and Dorian Boccolacci (GP3) will roll-mode “electric,” while Fabio Quartararo (Moto2) will be racing a machine of the AMV Cup.


After 6 races (out 13), 9 points only separated Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Renault Captur, 341 pts), the title hoping to style soon a third crown in a row, king of the ice, and Benjamin River (Peugeot 3008, 332 pts), his closest rival for the moment.

In December, Dubourg has won two races and River.

The other wins are returned to Berthon (Audi A1, 3rd with 324 pts), Evens Stievenart (Mazda 3, 4th with 319 pts) and Franck Lagorce (BMW M2, 5th with 314 pts).


The champion of champions in the Trophée Andros is called Yvan Muller. Sitting on a whopping 10 titles, fades between 1996 and 2006, the winner in alsace is not near to see someone dethrone him.

Jean-Philippe Dayraut and Alain Prost, also stored race cars today, complete the podium of the best experts, with respectively 6 and 3 crowns.


Faithful among the faithful, Isola 2000 is hosting for the 22nd time the “freeze” of the steering wheel this season. Appeared on the map as early as 1991, a year after the establishment of the Andros Trophy, ski resort, highest of the Alps-Maritimes, returned to the calendar in 2005, after an eclipse of 6 years, becoming a must-attend event.


Each tire of the race consists of 250 nails. Cars Silhouette feature a tubular chassis, four-wheel drive and guidelines, a 6-cylinder engine 3-litre, 340 horsepower, a gearbox 6-speed.

The minimum weight? 1030 pounds with driver on board.


Friday, 12 January: race 1 time Trial of 14 h to 15: 30, qualifying and super pole from 15h35 to 19h, final from 19: 15 to 21h.
Saturday 13 January: race 2 qualifying heats of 14 h to 17: 45, finals from 17: 50 to 20: 20.
