DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that he was happy to be in charge of leading the capital city with the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria. Anies likens his duet with a Gerindra politician to a doubles badminton player.
This was conveyed by Anies while attending the Jakarta Governor’s Gathering with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) at the Great Hall of DKI Jakarta City Hall, Jl Medan Selatan, Central Jakarta, Thursday (6/10/2022).
The event was also attended by a number of parties, including Ahmad Riza Patria, Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, Jaya Regional Commander Major General Untung Budiharto, Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office Reda Manthovani and a number of members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

“I’m also lucky because my partner is Mr. Deputy Governor. It’s just like a double-pair badminton player,” said Anies.
Their terms of office will end on October 16. Ahmad Riza Patria himself has been serving in Jakarta since 2020 replacing the previous Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno.
Anies said that in their work, the two of them did not need to share with each other. Because, both of them already understand each other and communicate smoothly like a double pair badminton player.
“If I’m on the right, he’s on the left. If I’m going forward, he’s backwards. If there’s a smash he’s the one who picks it up, if the ball is easy, he hits it. So there’s no need to share it with each other, sir, the tektok has worked,” he continued.
Anies also views that Riza and himself do not need to dictate to each other. Because, each one of them already knows his own duty because chemistry already awake.
“So I feel right, sir. I feel that working together with the Deputy Governor is a collaboration that does not need to write to each other, sir, who is working, has directly connected chemistry,” he said.
Previously, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria was grateful to have been able to help DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for the past 2.5 years. Riza admitted that he had an extraordinary experience while accompanying Anies Baswedan to lead the city of Jakarta.
This was stated by Riza while attending the Appreciation Night for Field Officers and Technical Workers within the DKI Provincial Government which was held in Ancol, North Jakarta on Wednesday (5/10/2022) night.
“I am grateful and lucky to be able to help Pak Anies,” said Riza, who was seen on his personal Instagram as seen on Thursday (6/10/2022).
Riza Patria herself has served as Deputy Governor of DKI since April 15, 2020. During that time, Riza saw the city of Jakarta which continues to move to become a global city.
The Gerindra politician then praised Anies Baswedan’s leadership style. He also feels lucky to be part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
“Because I got extraordinary knowledge, Mr. Gub’s extraordinary leadership, then extraordinary feelings. Discussing cooperation with a team, synergizing, collaborating and under the leadership of Mr. Governor, ladies and gentlemen, we are all witnessing the City of Jakarta to become a global city, ” he said.
“Not only clean, but also comfortable, attractive, cool and extraordinary. We are grateful to be in this period, during the leadership period of Mr. Governor Anies,” he added.
