Anies: There are 30,000 RTs in Jakarta, 30 are flooded, “It’s Not Even One Percent” All pages

JAKARTA, – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that flooding is not the main problem in the capital city.

However, according to Anies, the problem of flooding in DKI Jakarta has become the main topic of discussion on social media.

“For example, flooding in social media is a problem, in fact from our RT there are 30 thousand, which are affected by flooding about 30, it’s not even one percent,” said Anies at the Kompas Gramedia Building, Gelora, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/10/2022).

Anies said, there is a big gap between people’s talk on social media and the needs of Jakarta residents.

“So in reality, as a problem, the proportion is small, but as a perception it is (big),” said Anies.

Anies added that the main problem in Jakarta is actually related to the cost of living.

“If you look at the existing 11 million population, 3.6 million families, the number one trust issue is the cost of living. The second is about health,” said Anies.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Processing Implementation Unit, Michael said, a total of 81 RTs in Jakarta were flooded.

“BPBD noted that previously inundation occurred in 81 RTs, now there are 9 RTs or only 0.030 percent of the 30,470 RTs in the DKI area,” Michael said via text message, Wednesday.

He said that the floods in nine RTs were spread across West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and East Jakarta.

Flood heights at a number of points varied, ranging from 20 centimeters to 80 centimeters.

“(Flood in) West Jakarta from four RT to two RT, in East Jakarta from 10 RT to four RT, in Central Jakarta three RT,” said Michael.
