Apple Cash is a feature that allows American iOS users to easily send money with messages to and from friends. While Canadians in Canada have been seeing the Apple Cash Setup screen for some time, Apple Cash is displayed in macOS Catalina.
According to iPhone in Canada Reader Mike, he noticed that macOS Catalina Beta 2 now displays an "Apple Cash Account Balance" in the system settings under its Apple ID under "Payment and Shipping":
<img style = "display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title = "apple_pay_cash_balance_canada.png" src = "https://cdn.iphoneincanada.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/apple_pay_cash_balance_canada.png" alt = "Apple pays cash in Canada” width=”800″ height=”728″ border=”0″/>
The wording appears to appeal to users in the US (Discover Cards are not popular in Canada), but it's another appeal for Canadians who can only dream that Apple Cash will debut here. Until then, we will continue to use Interac e-transfers to send and receive money from our bank accounts.
It was mentioned in January that "Apple Pay Cash Balance" appears in iTunes after you sign in to your account. However, since macOS Catalina has quit iTunes, this mention may have been moved to the system settings.
