APPLE MUSIC WILL PAY DJS FOR ITS MIXTURES

Apple Music announced its latest update. An improvement that will undoubtedly put new technologies and it will make content creators happy. According to the company’s announcement, now thanks to technology similar to Shazam it will identify mixes created by DJs. to give back the money to all the creators who have participated in the process.

According to the company’s announcement, Apple has reached an agreement with different members of the music industry, including independent labels, to find a way to offset DJs’ streaming income, studios, and other artists featured in the mixes, who are also entitled to collect royalties.

On this launch, the American company affirmed that Apple Music is the first platform that offers continuous mixes where there is a fair fee for the artists whose tracks are included in the mixes and for the artist who mixes those. A quite significant step for what is to come in music production issues.

Notably, Apple will only release DJ mixes in which 70 percent of the music used in total has been identified.
