Apple has officially announced on its website that from October 5, 2022, the cost of applications in the App Store will become higher. The reason is the weakening of the euro against the dollar.

Where and by how much will prices increase:

The increase in cost is worth waiting for residents of Sweden, Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea and Vietnam. Now programs on the iPhone will cost 20% more.

Thus, the minimum price for the application will increase from 0.99 to 1.19 euros, the maximum – from 999 to 1199 euros. Subscription programs will not become more expensive. Nothing is said about increasing the cost of software for Russians. Perhaps programs in Russia will rise in price after the rest of the world.

The reasons

The main reason for this act is a strong dollar, Bloomberg said. In 2022, the yen and the euro have weakened significantly. Because of this, not only programs have risen in price, but also the iPhone, Mac and other “apple” devices. According to the results of June, the average purchase price in the App Store increased by 40% compared to the same period last year.
