The iPhone 14 Pro should make do with 128 GB of basic internal storage. Despite the new price increase, Apple has decided not to upgrade to 256 GB of memory. The brand should follow the configurations offered last year on the iPhone 13 Pro.
The iPhone 14 Pro looks very different from the iPhone 13. This year, Apple should introduce a new design on its iPhones. The brand would pull a cross on the notch and bet on a holey screen. For the first time, Apple would offer an always-on screen on its smartphones. Finally, the Pro editions would be entitled to a 48 megapixel sensor on the back. A first.
On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro should not benefit from more internal storage than their predecessors. According to information from Jeff Pu, an analyst at investment bank Haitong International, Apple should follow last year’s offer in terms of internal memory.

Four internal storage options, same as last year
So Apple shouldn’t give up the basic version with 128 GB of storage. The analyst denies information relayed by experts from the research company TrendForce. In a report published on August 10, 2022, analysts estimated that Apple did not intend to market an iPhone 14 Pro with 128 GB of memory. Experts assured that the basic offer would start at 256 GB this year.
According to information from Jeff Pu, the iPhone 14 Pro will be available in the same configurations as the iPhone 13 Pro. Apple would offer 128, 256, 512 or 1 TB of internal memory on its high-end smartphones.
Rising prices in prospect
At the same time, Apple should revise the price of its iPhones upwards. According to a body of rumors that have appeared in recent months, the price could go up by 15%. The iPhone 14 Pro 128 GB would therefore be sold at 1,099 dollars in the United States. For its part, the iPhone 14 Pro Max 128 GB could climb to 1,199 dollars. Despite the increase in its prices, Apple would not intend to revise upwards the amount of starting storage of its smartphones. An effort on this side would have however made it possible to better pass the pill.
According to information from Jeff Pu, the price increase was not caused by possible difficulties in the supply chain. After investigation, the analyst did not identify any significant problem on the group’s production lines. Rather, Apple’s decision was motivated by inflation, rising cost of raw materials and the many new features inaugurated on the iPhone 14 Pro.
Despite this umpteenth price increase, Apple expects the iPhone 14 to meet with colossal success. The Cupertino group has ordered 90 millions d’iPhone 14 to its suppliers to meet demand.
