This Wednesday, 11, the Endemic Disease Control released updated data on the situation of dengue in the municipality. Now, there are 1,591 confirmed cases of dengue; 1,565 of which are autochthonous – acquired in the municipality and 26 imported. The number of notifications reaches 3,447; 130 under investigation; 1,726 negatives and one death. In the previous week there were: 2,923 notifications; 1,373 positive cases of dengue – 1,350 of which were indigenous and 23 imported; 331 cases under investigation; 1,219 negative and one death. ACTIONS – Endemic Control continues with the services to combat the dengue mosquito (Aedes Aegypti); also the cause of zika and chikungunya. Yesterday, 10th, the costal UBV spraying car (smoke) passed through the Jardim Aeroporto region. Other neighborhoods have already received the services: Conjunto Flamingos; Saint Raphael (1 to 6); Del Condor; Cj. Eagles and Our Lady of Graces. The schedule will also meet: Vila Araponguinha; Vila Sampaio; New Horizon Garden; Garden of the Sun; Big House 2; Vila Bernardes; St. Anthony’s Garden; set Ulisses Guimaraes; Big House 1; Baroness Garden; Santa Efigenia; Centaur Set 1/2/3; Petrópolis Garden; Vale das Peróbas 1 and 2; Garden Interlagos 1 and 2; Corina Pugliesi and Conj. Araucaria Residential. The teams continue with the actions of blockades and home visits, in addition to the installation of ovitraps that are a kind of trap for the mosquito; at critical locations. The awareness lectures are also going strong, in addition to the mobilization of schools in the city’s neighborhoods.
The weekly dengue bulletin published on Tuesday (10) by the State Department of Health (Sesa) records 124,078 reported cases, with 43,751 confirmations. There are 6,703 more cases, an increase of about 18% compared to the figures in the previous report. The data are from the 37th Epidemiological Report, from the new seasonal period of the disease, which started on August 1st and should continue until July 2022.
Of the 373 municipalities that registered dengue notifications, 315 confirmed the disease, and in 274 of them are autochthonous cases, that is, dengue was contracted in the patient’s municipality of residence.
DEATHS – Sesa reports the death of three more people. It is a 95-year-old woman, who lived in Cascavel and two men, a 20-year-old resident of Maringá and an 85-year-old from Londrina. The deaths occurred between March 26 and April 14, 2022. Since the beginning of the period, Paraná has added 12 deaths from the disease.
Since April 19, the State has confirmed the epidemic condition of dengue due to probable and confirmed cases, which were above expectations for the period. Faced with this scenario and the increase in cases, technicians at all levels of government intensified Environmental Surveillance actions.
