Argentina strongly condemned the "terrorist attack" which targeted mosques in the city of New Zealand's Kretsch Church on Friday, killing at least 49 people and injuring dozens.
"The Argentine Republic strongly condemns the terrorist act that was committed today at Cracks Church," the Argentine Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "It expresses its condolences and expresses its solidarity with the Government and people of New Zealand as well as with the families of the victims and the Muslim community."
The same source stressed that the terrorist violence, as happened today, an attack on freedom and peaceful coexistence and integration and respect for pluralism, as all the focus of democratic societies.
In the same statement, the Argentine Government reiterated its firm condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, stressing that it will continue to cooperate with the international community against this scourge within the framework of international law and respect for the rule of law and human rights.
