The Argentine government will submit a restructuring offer to the American Stock Exchange

A government source said that the Argentine government intends to submit a new debt restructuring offer to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the coming days, according to “Reuters”.

Argentina is trying to avoid a messy legal confrontation with its creditors by concluding an agreement to restructure foreign debt of about $ 65 billion.

Last May, Argentina postponed the payment of $ 9.8 billion in public debt to 2021.

The decision came in the midst of the crisis facing the emerging coronavirus, which affected its already strapped economy.

The Argentine government was supposed to pay the amount before December 31, 2020.
