The beginning of the calendar summer, Lithuanian airports are greeted with a record number of new destinations this year. According to the current plans of the airlines, almost 80 direct routes will be operated at the country’s airports from June, among which there will be almost 50 renewables in June.

According to Aurimas Stikliūnas, Head of the Aviation Services Division of Lithuanian Airports, observing the intensification of vaccination rates, the growing European Union agreement on the green passport, growing passenger confidence in aviation and the resulting rapidly growing demand for flights, June active recovery.

According to the representative of Lithuanian airports, the countries of Southern Europe, for which it is very important to revive the flow of tourism, are increasingly relaxing the requirements for those arriving due to the need for isolation or do not even apply such a requirement at all. Countries such as Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia do not use self-isolation vaccines or have a negative COVID-19 test, and the list is growing.

There are about 30 new directions at Vilnius Airport

From the capital’s gates, flights to the Italian city of Milan (Ryanair), Billund in Denmark (Wizzair), the UK cities of Doncaster (Wizzair), Liverpool (Ryanair), London Luton Airport ( Ryanair).

News will also be offered to holiday seekers. From early June, Ryanair will be able to reach Corfu in Greece, the city of Chania in Greece, the Italian capital Rome or Malta in the Mediterranean. From the beginning of the month, a direct flight will be offered to the Croatian pearl-like Dubrovnik (airBaltic) and the Cypriot city of Larnaca (Wizzair).

From about the middle of the month, a direct flight from Vilnius Airport will be available to reach the German cities of Berlin, Frankfurt and Bremen (Ryanair). Convenient connections will be provided to the United Kingdom – Birgmingham (Wizzair), Leeds (Ryanair), London Gatwick Airport (airBaltic), Liverpool (Wizzair).

The capital’s airport will offer convenient routes for business and leisure: Ryanair will offer trips to Brussels, Latvian airline airBaltic – to the Irish capital Dublin, Finnair will be able to reach Helsinki, Wizzair – Milan. Holiday planners will be able to choose from Santorini and Zakynthos in Greece (Wizzair), Nice in France (Wizzair), Venice (Ryanair) and Vienna (Ryanair).

According to current airline plans, flights to Northern Ireland, the largest city in Northern Ireland (“Wizzair”), Brussels (“Brussels Airlines”), and the Norwegian capital Oslo (“Norwegian Air Shuttle”) are planned from the end of the month.

There are 13 new directions from Kaunas Airport

Kaunas Airport will also have news for passengers in June. Most of the new direct flights will be offered from the beginning of the month.

Routes are planned to run regularly to the Norwegian cities of Aalesund and Bergen (“Wizzair”), the UK cities of Bristol, Edinburgh, and London Stansted Airport (Ryanair). Ryanair will offer easy access to the Italian cities of Milan, Naples and Rimini. Using the services of this air campaign, it will be possible to directly reach Copenhagen, the Spanish island of Mallorca, and the city of Shannon in Ireland from Kaunas Air Gate.

To the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands from 14 June. will be able to fly with Wizzair and Ryanair from 18 June. will offer flights to Cologne in Germany.

New directions from Palanga

Palanga Airport should start with four new directions from June. According to current airline plans, flights to London Stansted Airport and the Irish capital Dublin (Ryanair) should operate from the first day of the month.

The flights offered by Wizzair to the next London airport – Luton – should start on June 29, and convenient connections with the Norwegian capital Oslo will also be ensured from the end of the month.
