At least 11 firefighters injured in an explosion at a hash oil factory in Los Angeles

At leastEleven firefighters have been injured, three of them seriously, by the explosion of a hashish oil processor in downtown Los Angeles., as reported by the city’s fire spokesman, Erik Scott, to the ‘Los Angeles Times’.

Firefighters received an alert call around 6.30pm Saturday near the Little Tokyo neighborhood. Whilethey were looking for the place of the deflagration they were hit by an explosion“very powerful, of enormous temperature” that melted the helmets of some firefighters.

Eleven of them were burned,three of them seriously. All were rushed to the Los Angeles County Medical Center. There is no fear for the life of any of them.

As for the fire, more than 240 troops were necessary to control it. The place was identified as a hash oil distributor. The causes of the fire are under investigation.
