At least 27 members of Iranian Revolutionary Guards have died in a suicide attack in southeastern Iran. During the evening there were talk of 41 dead, but it is a number that was later revised. The Revolutionary Guards – also known as pasdaran – they are an elite corps of the Iranian army, which today controls a huge part of the Iranian economy and is in charge of many military operations abroad. According to initial information the Revolutionary Guards were on board a bus that was traveling on a road linking the cities of Zahedan and Khash, on the border with Pakistan.
