At least four flights between Luanda and Lisbon by 10 July – Tests will not be required to land in the Portuguese capital

The Luanda-Lisbon route will have at least four more connections until 10 July, three by the Portuguese airline, TAP, and at least one by the national carrier, TAAG, and in none of them should passengers be required to present a negative test for Covid-19 on arrival in the Portuguese capital.

This is because, according to what can be read on the official page of the Consulate of Portugal in Luanda, TAP has scheduled three flights until 10 July, on 03, 08 and 10, while the Angolan carrier is flying to Lisbon next Thursday.

The Portuguese diplomatic representation in Luanda justifies the absence of an obligation to present a test, despite the fact that there is an order from the Portuguese Government that imposes it for flights originating in Brazil, the USA and Portuguese speaking African countries, as these are special flights of repatriation pending regular links between the two capitals.

These flights, called humanitarian or repatriation, are, however, limited to Portuguese or foreign residents with regularized status in Portugal.

From the moment regular commercial flights are resumed, the rules are different and a negative test to Covid-19 is required.
