Dr. Dansa Kourouma said he also transmitted to the Head of State messages of recognition and thanks from the people of Guinea. “The former President of the Republic of Niger, Mr. Issoufou Mahamadou, then President-in-Office of ECOWAS, played an extremely important role in the search for a solution to the crisis in Guinea. Also, in my capacity as President of the Transitional Parliament, I have the moral obligation to salute the efforts of the President of the Republic of Niger, through him, all the people of Niger for the support he has had to give to the Guineans for the return to the normal constitutional order,” he explained.
Dr. Dansa Kourouma also took this opportunity to send his hearty congratulations to President Bazoum following his brilliant election as head of Niger. “A country that is going through a worrying security situation but which, thanks to the leadership and dedication of the Niger authorities, is controlling the situation. We also came to ask for the support and accompaniment of President Bazoum as President of an ECOWAS member country for a better understanding of the situation in Guinea,” he said. “When you want to go fast, you walk alone, but when you want to go far, you walk together. We want all the Heads of State to look at the good faith of the transitional authorities in moving towards the return to irreversible constitutional order. Niger is an example of democratic resilience. I think that by walking together, we can draw inspiration from its experiences and its good practices”, maintained the president of the CNT of Guinea.
A few moments later, the President of the Republic received the Commissioner of WAEMU, in charge of the Department of Economic Policies and Internal Taxation, Mr. Mahamadou Gado.
